Privacy notice
Loved in Colour is a small business run by Beth Jenkins in the United Kingdom. This page explains what I collect, why, how long I keep it and how to have it removed.
What I collect
- Your name and email address, so I can reply to you.
- Your pet's name and type, the size you are interested in and anything you write in the notes field.
- Any photograph you attach or email to me.
- Whether you have ticked the box allowing me to show the finished piece publicly.
Why I collect it
To answer your enquiry, to agree and make your commission, and to post it to you. That is the whole purpose. I do not sell your details, share them with advertisers, or add you to a mailing list.
Where it goes
Enquiries sent through the form on this site are processed by Netlify, who host the website, and arrive in my email inbox at lovedincolour@gmail.com, which is a Google account. If you message me on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook instead, that conversation sits with the relevant platform under their own terms.
Photographs
Your photograph is used to develop the composition reference for your piece. I will not publish your photograph or the finished portrait anywhere unless you have said I can, either by ticking the consent box or by telling me directly. If you have already said yes and change your mind, email me and I will take it down.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not become commissions are deleted within twelve months. For completed commissions I keep the order details and correspondence for six years, which is the period HMRC requires business records to be retained. Photographs are deleted on request at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email lovedincolour@gmail.com and I will action it within one month. If you are not happy with how I have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no third party tracking scripts. Visitor numbers come from Netlify's server side analytics, which counts requests without identifying individual people, so there is nothing here that needs a consent banner.
