Every one of these started as an ordinary photograph on somebody's phone. Drag the handle across to watch it become the piece. Not one of them began with a perfect photograph, and that has never once been a problem.

Up close
Where the light catches
Oil pastel sits proud of the sheet. Gold and white paint pen go on in the last half hour and they are what makes a piece shift as you walk past it. This is what the surface looks like from a few inches away, and it is the part a screen can never quite carry.
About me and my evolved process
I would rather show you how it is made
I started making digital pet portraits on a sketchbook platform when I was twelve, drawing for friends and family who wanted something of their own animal. What began there has grown into a more collaborative process.
Every commission begins with your photograph. I use AI generation and engineering alongside Photoshop and manual editing to develop a reference base, working out proportions and composition before anything is committed. That reference is a starting point and not the finished piece.
I then print the composition reference, and the sheet becomes the physical surface I work on. From there the piece is built up over many hours with oil pastel, coloured pencil, paint pen and mixed media layered across the surface, drawing on collage and printmaking techniques. White highlights and gold embellishments go on last. You can ask to receive the separate reference sketch, so you can see where your portrait began.
What arrives is a physical, worked, one-off surface, made for one animal and one home.
After achieving A*A*A* at A-level, including Fine Art, I am going on to study Digital Media and Culture at King's College London. I intend to keep experimenting with print, technology and media, and where they meet traditional materials. I am interested in what it means for an artist to evolve rather than stand still, and this is where that has taken me so far.

My process
The photograph
Yours, as it is. A phone photograph from years ago is enough to begin.
The reference base
Proportion, pose and colour direction are resolved digitally before any mark is committed.
The surface
The reference is printed, and that printed sheet becomes the ground I work into.
The build
Oil pastel, coloured pencil, paint pen and mixed media accumulate over hours until the colour holds.
The finish
White highlights and gold go on last. It is the part that makes a piece move as you walk past it.
Before any colour, the planning sketch
Every piece is worked out first as a line drawing with a set of colour marks beside it. Pose, crop, where the weight sits, which colours are allowed in. You can ask to see yours before I start.

You don't need a perfect photograph. You just need one that reminds you of them.
I have worked from old prints, from screenshots, and from photographs taken on phones long since replaced. Tell me about them when you write, the colours they suited, the way they sat, anything you want carried into the piece, and I will take care with it. Bella, Jill and Goldy are the memorial pieces I have made so far.

Choose your portrait
Prices depend on the photograph, the size and the composition you have in mind, so these ranges are where pieces land. I confirm the exact price before you pay anything.
A4 head study
£35 to £45
One pet, head and shoulders. 210 by 297mm.
A3 full body
£55 to £65
One pet, full body or a scene around them. 297 by 420mm.
A2 statement
On request
Larger pieces and sets of several animals. Ask and I will quote.
What you receive
- A one-off worked surface, made for your animal and nobody else's.
- Layered in oil pastel, coloured pencil, paint pen and mixed media, with white highlights and gold worked in at the end.
- A personalised note or gift card, written by hand.
- Stickers and a business card.
- The separate reference sketch, if you ask for it.
- Packed flat with a tissue paper sheet across the surface, sandwiched between rigid cardboard for safety and wrapped nicely.
One thing worth knowing. Oil pastel never fully hardens. Please do not touch the surface, and frame it behind glass. It stays alive that way for decades.
The small print, plainly
- Postage and packaging is £10, added on top and never folded into the price. Royal Mail Tracked 48.
- A 50% deposit by bank transfer books your slot and starts the work.
- The balance is due once you have seen and approved the finished piece.
- Turnaround is 2 to 3 weeks from your deposit.
- One round of minor adjustments is included. The style is expressive and colour led rather than photo-realistic, and that is the point of it.
- A frame-ready mount board can be added. Ask when you enquire.
- Bespoke and personalised pieces are exempt from the 14 day cancellation right under UK consumer contracts rules, so please do read the commission terms.
